“Who has ascended into heaven, or descended?  Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment?  Who has established all the ends of the earth?  What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know?”

pray without ceasing

Many of you may know that Jason has volunteered this weekend for TERT (Timponogos Emergency Response Team).  I heard from him this morning and all is well.  No injuries to attend to (Praise God!) and no wildfire nearby!  He assured me that he is taking lots of wonderful pictures…and drinking lots of water.

Please continue to keep him in prayer as well as the rest of the team.  While we’re at it, remember to pray for protection for those who are affected by the fires in Colorado.  Elijah prayed for rain (1 Kings 18)…so can we!

First TERT Weekend-Prayer Request

I just wanted to ask everyone to keep me in their prayers this weekend. I will be making my first trip with TERT (Timpanogos Emergency Response Team).  I will hike up Friday with 3 other people just below the summit of Mt. Timpanogos. There we will assist hikers who need medical assistance. We will Friday and Saturday night returning Sunday afternoon. Please keep my wife in prayer as she will be taking care of the scriptures and quotes this weekend. This is a blessing and a dream come true for me and the ministry of hiking2christ. Thank you all and have a blessed weekend. If you happen to be in the central Utah area and feel like a hike please stop by and say hi.

06/20/2012 Scripture

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.

-Hebrews 9:27-28 NLT

Ode To Nature

There was a time when meadow, grove, and stream, The earth, and every common sight, To me did seem Apparelled in celestial light, The glory and the freshness of a dream. It is not now as it hath been of yore;—Turn wheresoe’er I may, By night or day, The things which I have seen I now can see no more.

06/28/2012 Scripture

And so, dear brothers and sisters,we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death,Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

-Hebrews 1o:19-22 NLT
