03/15/2011 scripture

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the time has com. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

03/14/2011 scripture

My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

03/13/2011 scripture

But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves, them, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

03/12/2011 scripture

If you relly keep the royal law found in scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at one point is guilty of breaking it all.

03/11/11 scripture

If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

03/10/2011 scripture

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers , who accuses then before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”

Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three.

1st Camp-Out of 2011

We went on our first camp-out of 2011 on March 6, 2011. We went to Memphis State Rec Area in Memphis, NE. It was 44°  when we arrived there. It was 28° when we woke up at 6 am and it was snowing. We bought a Nemo Losi 3p Storm tent and it worked to perfection. Laural, the kids, and I were snug and warm all night, even Abbie our dog. The first camp was a great success.
